Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 18th December, 2024 – Ceer, Saudi Arabia’s first electric vehicle (EV) brand and original equipment manufacturer (OEM), has partnered with Schuler to supply and install the first completely automatic press shop at its state-of-the-art Ceer Manufacturing Complex (CMC) in King Abdullah Economy City, the most advanced manufacturing facility in the MENA region.
The CMC encompasses every stage of vehicle production, from press shop and body shop to paint shop and general assembly. It also integrates comprehensive logistics, waste management, warehousing, offices, a water treatment system, and a dedicated vehicle test track.
Ceer’s latest milestone at the facility, just four months after raising of the first steel frame is the start of the installation of the Schuler press shop, an important step in building the EV sector. The partnership with Schuler is central to the manufacturing process which is rapidly taking shape.

In this strategic partnership, Schuler is installing the region’s first completely automatic, press shop for smart manufacturing, a significant step towards delivering Ceer’s ambitious plans. This landmark partnership with Schuler marks a crucial first step in Ceer’s manufacturing process, and will form the backbone of its electric vehicle production, paving the way for a new era of smart manufacturing in the region.
The press shop, including two press lines, a tryout press, and a laser blanking line is the nucleus of vehicle production where precisely cut metal blanks are transformed into chassis parts, and body components like side frames, doors, and bonnets are formed from sheet metal. Schuler’s advanced presses and laser blanking lines offer an output of up to 64 parts per minute. Overall, the press and laser blanking lines offer high availability, flexibility and output as well as decreased power consumption. Ceer’s advanced press lines, powered by cloud-based applications, prioritize energy efficiency, and sustainability.

(Foxconn), has signed a partnership with Rimac Technology for the supply of high-performance, fully integrated Electric Drive Systems (EDS) for its upcoming flagship range of EVs. The collaboration was made official at a signing ceremony held at Rimac in Croatia on 17th October, attended by Rimac Technology CEO Mate Rimac and Ceer CEO James DeLuca.

This partnership with Ceer signifies a further evolution of the Rimac Technology business from limited-volume, high-performance applications – including the Rimac Nevera,Pininfarina Battista, Aston Martin Valkyrie and Koenigsegg Regera– to large-scale projects. Earlier this year, Rimac Technology revealed a long-term collaboration with the BMW Group to supply high-voltage battery systems to its passenger cars and has signed multiple agreements for mid-to-large volume European OEM projects. This latest venture with Ceer, Rimac’s first partnership in the GCC, represents another substantial scaling up of Rimac Technology products, focused on its electric powertrain systems and software portfolio.

Ceer, the first Saudi electric vehicle brand, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Royal Commission for Yanbu (RCY). This strategic step aims to bolster Saudi Arabia’s industrial capacity by establishing a framework for collaboration on support, empowerment, training, and workforce development initiatives.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 15 August, 2024 – The construction of the Ceer Manufacturing Complex (CMC) started only four months ago. The recent signing and raising of the first steel frame mark a new milestone in the building of the first Saudi EV manufacturing facility in the King Abdullah Economic City, Jeddah and reflects its rapid pace of progress.
Ceer leaders along with representatives of the contractor, Modern Building Leaders (MBL), the Saudi company that is constructing the facility, celebrated the milestone.
CEO, James Deluca commented on the impact of the CMC and the development of the first Saudi electric vehicle brand saying, “Our primary focus at Ceer is to manufacture an end-to-end Saudi-made vehicle that will be able to challenge global automotive thinking, and the CMC is an essential and vital component in the realization of this goal.”
The Ceer Manufacturing Complex, a US$1.3 billion facility, will be the most advanced of its kind in the MENA region. Covering 530,000 square-meters, it will include dedicated zones for every stage of vehicle production, including a press shop, body shop, paint shop, and general assembly. RIYADH, 11th June 2024: Ceer, Saudi Arabia’s first electric vehicle (EV) brand and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has signed a SAR 8.2 billion (USD 2.18 billion) partnership with Hyundai Transys for the supply of innovative Electric Vehicle Drive Systems (EDS) for its vehicles.

In this journey, we are delighted to partner with Hyundai Transys, who join our list of globally leading partners, allowing us to integrate this cutting-edge EDS technology in our world-class electric vehicles” said Ceer CEO James DeLuca.
Unlike typical EDS, which comprise separate motors, inverters, and reduction gears, resulting in power loss between connecting cables and limitations in vehicle space configuration, Hyundai Transys’s integrated EDS is a three-in-one system that combines a motor required to drive the EV, an inverter, and a reduction gear, which converts power to control the motor’s torque.
This advanced system significantly reduces size and weight while enhancing power efficiency, thereby streamlining the EV design process and boosting cost competitiveness.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has granted an industrial license to Ceer, the first Saudi electric vehicle brand. An industrial license is a key step for Ceer to build its manufacturing facility over one million m2 in King Abdullah Economic City’s Industrial Valley in Saudi Arabia.
A joint venture between the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Foxconn, Ceer was launched last November under the patronage of His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, the spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, emphasized the strategic significance of the automotive industry within the context of the Kingdom’s national industrial strategy. With the global light vehicles market expected to double in the next decade, the automotive sector presents a compelling regional opportunity.
Al-Jarrah further highlighted that the automotive manufacturing industry will serve as a catalyst for other priority sectors such as minerals and chemicals.
