Ceer, the first Saudi electric vehicle brand, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Royal Commission for Yanbu (RCY). This strategic step aims to bolster Saudi Arabia’s industrial capacity by establishing a framework for collaboration on support, empowerment, training, and workforce development initiatives.
The MoU outlines plans for Ceer and RCY to jointly develop and deliver both short and long-term training programs, exchange expertise and knowledge, organize introductory visits, and implement social responsibility programs. The agreement also includes provisions for cooperative training opportunities to build a robust industrial ecosystem that develops and supports Saudi talent.
As part of this collaboration, a Ceer delegation visited Yanbu Industrial College to secure numerous direct employment opportunities for its graduates.
Ceer CEO, James DeLuca, stated: “We believe that building a robust industrial ecosystem in the Kingdom begins with supporting and developing Saudi talent. We are committed to empowering Saudi youth to lead in the electric vehicle sector. We are working to build an advanced industrial ecosystem that provides numerous direct job opportunities for RCY graduates.”
Ceer’s focus on attracting global talent and nurturing local expertise aims to create a sustainable and thriving automotive industry in Saudi Arabia, with local talent at the heart of the company’s future. By cultivating future industry leaders, attracting top local and international talent, and fostering a culture of innovation, Ceer strives to be at the forefront of technological advancement in the electric vehicle industry and contribute to the Kingdom’s economic diversification and sustainability goals.
